  • Curriculum vitaes of candidates registering for our matching service

  • Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one
    of the following reasons:
  • You are subscribing to our newsletter or updates
  • You have asked us to search for summer jobs on your behalf
    We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the
    following scenarios:
  • Our own research
    We use the information that you have given us in order to represent you for roles for
    you which you will be suitable, and to contact you with our updates.
    We may share this information with prospective employers (we will not do this
    without your permission).
    Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we
    rely on for processing this information is:
    Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do

    How we store your personal information
    Your information is securely stored in an industry-leading cloud-based file repository.
    We keep basic information – name and role – about candidates successfully placed
    for a period of not less than 6 years.
    We keep the CVs of candidates successfully placed for a period of 1 year from the
    end of the placement, after which digital copies are deleted permanently and paper
    copies securely shredded.
    We keep information about candidates not successfully placed until the end of the
    summer season regarding which we have engaged. We will give all candidates the
    opportunity to re-opt in for the following season. Information about those candidates
    who do not opt in for the following season will be deleted by 31 December of the
    year of the original season regarding which we have engaged. After this, digital
    copies of your information are deleted permanently and any paper copies securely
    shredded.
    Your data protection rights
    Under data protection law, you have rights including:
    Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal
    information.
    Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal
    information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete
    information you think is incomplete.
    Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal
    information in certain circumstances.
    Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the
    processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
    Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the
    processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
    Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the
    personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain
    circumstances.
    You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a
    request, we have one month to respond to you.
