With the evenings drawing in and the last of the warm summer weather (most likely!) behind us, it feels as if autumn has truly arrived in Oxford!
Now that a new season is officially here, at Oxford Summer Jobs we’ve been taking some time to reflect on what has been a fantastic summer and a productive 2023 season, and we want to thank everyone involved – candidates, clients and our community – in making 2023 the biggest and best year yet for our small business!
To the candidates we’ve had the pleasure of representing for summer 2023, thank you so much! Your enthusiasm, energy and commitment to making the most of your time in Oxford over the summer was truly admirable and has been a source of inspiration throughout. It has been such a pleasure to speak with so many of you over email, Messenger, Zoom calls and more!
As many of you will know, our mission at OSJ is to simplify summer job searches and make everyone’s lives a little easier in the process. With more than 70 candidates placed into roles as Counsellors, Activity Coordinators, HR Assistants, Administrators, Teachers, Operations roles and more, we were so pleased that we were able to help so many of you to find your perfect summer role in 2023.
Seeing the difference that this amazing range and depth of talent makes to Oxford’s vibrant summer economy has made us all the more excited for summer 2024, and we can’t wait to get going! A huge thank you, also, to the fantastic employers we have been able to work with this year! For summer 2023, we were delighted to deepen our collaboration with pre-existing clients as well as welcoming some brand-new ones for this year, and it’s safe to say that every one of them was an absolute delight to work with. We feel so privileged to have played even a small part in your success, and we’re looking forward to helping you to achieve even more in summer 2024!
And finally, a huge thank you to our community of followers and subscribers! A staggering 800 people signed up for our 2023 email updates, and almost 600 people are following us on Instagram. Our main goal is to help as many people as possible become aware of the different opportunities that are available in Oxford during the summer, and we’re so thankful that so many of you have chosen to come on this journey with us! We have lots of interesting content coming your way over the autumn period, to help put you in the best possible place for securing your perfect summer job in Oxford in 2024.
At OSJ, we like to think of September as a time for new beginnings, with a freshness in the air and new school and university terms beginning all around us. With that in mind, it is now time for us to look towards summer 2024, and we look forward to making our service even better!
